You can delete your Vixi AI account and the data in it at any time. This page explains how, what is erased, and the few things we are required to keep.
Before you start
Deleting your account is permanent. We cannot restore it afterwards, so export anything you want to keep first.
If you pay for a plan it is cancelled immediately and you are not charged again. Your saved cards are removed.
In the app (iPhone, iPad and Android)
- Open Settings.
- Choose Delete account.
- Type your account email, then enter your password or the code we email you, and tap Delete account. You are signed out right away.
On the web
- Sign in at tavix.dev/app and open Settings.
- Under Delete account, choose Delete account….
- Type your account email and enter your password or the code we email you. Every browser, phone and computer signed in to your account is signed out.
By email
If you can no longer sign in, write to support@tavix.dev from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We check that it is you, then delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account, name, email and password, and every signed-in device and session.
- Your Vixi computer (its running service and its storage volume) and everything it kept for you.
- Saved credentials in your vault, and your connections to other apps with their access tokens.
- Files and photos you uploaded, notes, study sets, decks, quizzes and other education data.
- Your payment requests, saved cards and payment mandates, and your customer record at our payment processor.
- Push notification tokens and the devices you paired (phones, computers and browsers).
- Your personal activity history and your model access key.
What we keep
- A record of each payment (merchant, amount, currency and date) with no link to you, because tax and accounting law require it (six years in Canada; the period differs by country). Our payment processor also keeps the records it is legally required to keep.
- Entries in your organization’s audit log, if you were part of one, without your identity attached. Content you shared with your team stays with the team.
- A free-trial guard: a fingerprint of a card that already used a trial, with no link to you, to prevent abuse.
- Encrypted backups, which are overwritten within 30 days.
Organizations and classes
If you are the only owner of an organization, make another member an owner or have the organization closed first. If you teach classes that still have students, remove the students or delete the class first. We will tell you in the app when something needs to be done before you can delete your account.
