Students and teachers can use Tavix on their own today. For a whole school, we set it up with you: classes and rosters, sign-in with school accounts, your LMS for every teacher, an admin console and school-wide tutor policies. Student data is never used to train AI models.

What a school deployment includes.

Everything students and teachers get on their own, under your school’s account and rules, plus:

  • Classes and rosters

    Classes, teachers and students from Google Classroom, Canvas or SCIM, kept in sync, with roles for admins, teachers and students.

  • Single sign-on

    Google, Microsoft or SAML, with domain capture, so everyone with a school email lands in the school’s account.

  • Your LMS, school-wide

    Google Classroom for the whole domain, or Canvas with an admin developer key, connected once for every teacher.

  • Admin console

    Classes, teachers and students in one place, with usage across the school.

  • School-wide tutor policies

    Default tutor mode, final answers on open assignments, content filters and who can read tutor chats. Every change goes in the audit log.

  • Under-13 safety and your data

    Students under 13 only through the school, with content filters always on. You set how long data is kept, and can export or delete it at any time.

What we do with student data, and what we never do.

  • Never used for training

    Students’ files, chats, answers and grades are never used to train AI models.

  • Kept in Tavix, not the model

    Student files and chats are stored in Tavix’s own database and file storage, not in the AI model.

  • Minimum data from your LMS

    Tavix asks only for what it needs: courses, rosters, coursework and submissions.

  • Export and delete

    The school sets how long data is kept, and can export it or have it deleted at any time.

  • COPPA

    Students under 13 can use Tavix only through a school deployment, with the school’s consent. Content filters are always on for school accounts.

  • FERPA

    Student records belong to the school. We use them only to provide Tavix to the school, and never sell them or use them for advertising.

Is student data used to train AI models?
No. Students’ files, chats, answers and grades are never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s. They’re used only to run Tavix for that student, teacher or school.
How does Tavix handle COPPA and FERPA?
Students under 13 can use Tavix only through a school deployment set up with our team, with the school’s consent and content filters always on. In a school deployment, student records belong to the school: we use them only to provide Tavix to the school, take the minimum we need from the LMS, and export or delete them when the school asks.
Where is student data kept, and for how long?
In Tavix’s own database and file storage, not in the AI model. You can delete your files and chats at any time. In a school deployment, the school sets how long student data is kept and can export it or have it deleted at any time.
Do you detect AI-written work?
No. We don’t offer an AI detector, and we don’t think one is reliable enough to accuse a student. Instead, Tavix gives students a tutor that teaches rather than writes, with a Socratic mode that holds back final answers.
Does it work with Google Classroom and Canvas?
Yes, with your own login. Connect Google Classroom, or Canvas with a personal access token, and pick an assignment: Tuti pulls the submissions, and after you approve the grades, it passes them back. Anything else works through CSV export. To connect them for every teacher in a school, contact us.
